Drum lessons · Berlin & online

Learn drums on your own kit.

At your place in Berlin or online via Google Meet, in English or German.

How I teach

Two ways, one goal: your groove.

I love coming to you, because where you practise is where I can make the biggest difference. And when that doesn't work, we meet online.

In person

At your place

  • We set up your kit together so it really fits you.
  • No trips to a music school. Parents are welcome to listen in.
  • Your favourite songs, groove, technique, reading or band prep.

from €70 · city centre (inside the S-Bahn ring) and southern Berlin at no extra cost, rest of Berlin + €15

Flexible, from anywhere

Online via Google Meet

  • Great for trying it out, if you live outside Berlin, or while I'm on tour.
  • No Google account needed, you just get a link.
  • Electronic drums work best, an acoustic kit is fine too.

from €55 · anywhere with an internet connection

FAQ

Good to know

Do you teach in English?

Yes! Lessons are available in English and German, or a mix of both, whatever works best for you. Perfect for international families and expats in Berlin.

I don't have a drum kit yet. Can I still start?

Of course! We start with a practice pad: affordable, quiet and perfect for your first grooves. If you want to keep going, I'm happy to help you choose your first kit, acoustic or electronic.

Which areas of Berlin do you cover for home lessons?

At no extra cost inside the S-Bahn ring and in southern Berlin, e.g. Schöneberg, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Mitte, Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg, Charlottenburg, Wilmersdorf, Tempelhof, Friedenau, Steglitz, Mariendorf, Lankwitz and Britz. For the rest of Berlin there's a €15 travel fee. Potsdam, Kleinmachnow, Teltow & co. on request.

What do I need for online lessons?

Your drum kit (electronic drums are ideal, acoustic works too), a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera set up to the side so I can see your hands and feet, plus headphones and a stable internet connection. You don't need a Google account. Good to know: playing together at the same time doesn't work online because of the delay, so we work with play-alongs, recordings and direct feedback.

What about the neighbours?

We'll schedule lessons outside the usual quiet hours. With electronic drums it's not an issue anyway, and I'm happy to share tips on dampening your acoustic kit.

What age can you start learning drums?

Usually from around 7–8, once the feet can comfortably reach the pedals. There's no upper limit: many of my students are adults finally starting or getting back into it.

Do I need to read music?

No. We start by ear and with songs you like. Reading music comes step by step, if you want it.

How does scheduling work when you're on tour?

I plan lessons around my tour dates and let you know well in advance. With the 10-lesson pass (valid for 6 months) you stay flexible, and while I'm on tour we can continue online.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Later cancellations are charged in full, since I've blocked the time for you.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer after receiving an invoice. The 10-lesson pass is paid in advance.
